Almost 15,000 square metres. That is the size of the floor area of the new factory premises that Steel Constructions has bought in Geldermalsen. The new premises are next door to the current plant.
The new, additional space which is going to be available will house the new production lines which are necessary for our international expansion efforts. There is also space for a new office which covers no fewer than 1,000 square metres. We are going to start using the new premises in phases from mid-February onwards. First of all, the current offices of Steel Constructions will be relocated.
Apart from new crash barrier production lines, Steel Constructions’ ambition is also to broaden the current range. Some of the space will also be used to store crash barrier bolts and nuts.
Badly needed
Director, Niels Zondag, is happy with the purchase: “The new premises provide Steel Constructions with badly needed space. Steel Constructions can now go full steam ahead during the coming five years.” A short period of refurbishment is going to take place in the coming weeks and months to make the new factory space presentable and ready for use.
