Crash barrier systems are there for a reason. They prevent serious accidents, as proven once again last week on the A59 motorway, where Steel Constructions supplied the half step barrier on a temporary bridge. A BMW driver totalled his car, but walked away unscathed.

Between Waalwijk-Oost and Heusden the A59 motorway was shut for some considerable time on Sunday morning after an allegedly speeding motorist parked his BMW against the half step barrier supplied by Steel Constructions.

The car ended up sideways onto the road and was a write-off. The step barrier, by contrast, was more or less undamaged, as was the temporary bridge. Happily, the same could be said of the driver of the BMW. He suffered little more than shock.

Steel Constructions supplied the half step barrier on a temporary bridge for Janson Bridging. You can find more information on this project by clicking the link next to this news item.
