The A59 at Waalwijk is a busy stretch of road. Many tens of thousands of cars a day will use the temporary bridge that has been constructed by Janson Bridging while a new bridge is being built. Steel Constructions, working in conjunction with Janson Bridging, supplied the half step barriers for that bridge.

Steel Constructions was the ideal partner for Janson Bridging who supply temporary bridges all over the world. At Steel Constructions, both design and production are carried out in-house so that we were able to get to work quickly. The system supplied by Steel Constructions was also CE-certified. In spite of the custom requirements, the whole production process took just a month.

The crash barrier was fitted directly for Janson before the bridge was transported to Waalwijk. The 33-metre long bridge sections were then placed in position by a 700-ton crane.

The bridge is due to open in September 2016. The temporary bridge will be used until then.
