When major maintenance had to be carried out on the N218 at Brielle, Ballast Nedam chose to use steel bridge railings from Steel Constructions.
The work on the N218 involved resurfacing and installing new road signs and a new wooden crash barrier. However, the crash barrier was not enough for the section where the provincial road crossed a small drainage ditch. The steel railings from Steel Constructions provided the ideal solution. These, in conjunction with the wooden safety railing, ensure safety and prevent vehicles from accidentally falling into the water.
The hot-dip galvanised steel railings from Steel Constructions were finished with an attractive white duplex coating to make them really stand out against the green landscape.
